Aveling Homes is wholly-owned by Chief Executive Officer Michael Aveling who, prior to establishing the company, held senior positions at the ABN Group for nearly two decades.
From humble beginnings to a highly respected industry leader
The son of migrants, Michael began life in the Perth suburb of Midland. Decades later, he has built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, customer-focused service and spearheading the introduction of innovative design and construction methods.
Michael completed a carpentry apprenticeship in 1981. Since becoming a registered builder, Michael has been responsible for the construction of over 12,000 homes including 5,000 since the establishment of Aveling Homes.
Under Michael’s leadership, Aveling Homes has constructed thousands of homes for Western Australian families – from first-home builds to custom luxury residences and literally hundreds of development projects. Michael is well known for his hands-on approach, mentoring his team and fostering long-term relationships with suppliers and tradespeople. Michael has also played an active role in improving standards across the industry, advocating for transparent building practices and quality assurance. A lifelong Perth local, Michael takes pride in supporting the community and creating lasting legacies for families across our State.
